As of October 18th, 2023, Qcells has officially expanded their manufacturing capacity by 2GW in Dalton, Georgia. This now makes them the largest solar panel manufacturing site in the Western Hemisphere. The expectation is that by 2024, they will be producing 8.4GW each year in multiple plants, which is nearly 7GW more from when they first opened in 2019. In doing so, they have added over 500 additional jobs to their plant with plans for additional growth of up to 4,000 clean energy jobs. Many of Prometheus’ customers have Qcells installed on their home making this is a welcomed sign of product and business growth specifically here in the United States. In northern Arizona, we are seeing the benefits of the solar tax credits being expanded upon and the evidence is clear in other parts of the country as well. Learn more here. |
