Prometheus Renewables offers quarterly Photovoltaic courses for locals in northern Arizona.
The courses are offered at the Willow Bend Environmental Education Center on Sawmill road in
Flagstaff. The classes are typically 1.5 hours long, one night a week for 6 weeks.
The course topics include:
- Why Photovoltaics (PV)?
- PV Equipment
- The Solar Resource and Site Analysis
- Grid-Tie System Sizing
- Code/Permit Requirements
- Off-Grid System Sizing
- Grid-Tie with Battery Backup
The course is designed for the Do-It-Yourselfer and should provide you with a solid
understanding of PV systems and how they work. The course fees include the text and
