Home Installation
After taking a course with the Solar Living Institute in 2006, Jim decided to gain some
hands-on experience with PV by installing a system at his residence. He discovered just
how fun it can be to produce your own power.
System Specifications:
- 21 Evergreen 120 Watt modules in series for a total of 2,520 Watts (2.5 kW)
- Xantrex GT2.5 Grid-Tied Inverter
- Custom timber mounting structure tilted at angle of approximately 25 degrees
- Square D AC and DC disconnects
This system produces an average of 12.5 kWh per day.
